CJNG Sends Another Video Message To La Barredora In Tabasco And Threatens Its Leaders | Video Warning

Although the authorities in Tabasco deny the existence of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG) in the state, despite announcements of arrests by the Secretariat of the Navy (Semar) and the National Guard (GN), the different messages being sent by the organization led by Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, also known as “El Mencho,” are becoming increasingly evident.

On April 18, the Secretary of Security of Tabasco, Víctor Hugo Chávez, stated that the CJNG does not have a presence in the state despite arresting three of its members and recording thirteen homicides the day before.

Hugo Chávez mentioned that the increase in violence in the region is due to internal struggles and fragmentation within the local organization identified as La Barredora, which began in December 2023 and continues to this day.

The statement emphasized that “one cannot in any way consider that the authorities are overwhelmed” by the violent acts carried out by these criminal groups.

“As police officers, we can contain all of those criminal groups and our capabilities are increased with the support and coordination we have with the Army and the National Guard,” stated the secretary in an interview at 104.1 FM radio station.

The official stated that “La Barredora” operates in the municipalities of Comalcalco, Cárdenas, and Paraíso, places where the highest rates of criminal activity have been reported, including fuel theft, extortion, robbery of businesses, human trafficking, and drug trafficking.

On April 16, the head of the Mexican Navy (SEMAR), Raúl Ojeda Durán, informed about the arrest of three members of the CJNG in Tabasco without giving further details.

When questioned about the reports from federal authorities, Chávez explained that the security institution would disclose the details of the captures.

Meanwhile, the National Guard announced that seven members of the CJNG were detained in Tabasco from April 16 to 29, 2024. General Commander David Córdova Campos announced as part of the Joint Security Report, which was presented at President López Obrador’s morning conference.

On the other hand, a video began circulating on social media showing the interrogation of two individuals who are kneeling with their hands tied and blindfolded. All of this is done while two individuals dressed in black, armed with long weapons and wearing caps, keep watch over them while a third person with a short gun stands in front of the alleged hawks.

“What do you do for a living?” asks the person recording the video, who, according to unofficial information, belongs to the CJNG. The subject with a red t-shirt and navy blue jacket replies, “I am innocent. I don’t like bad things. He told me he was a lookout for El Pescuezo and El Lic Tomás and that he participated in the death of a police officer who they left lying on the road,” he says.

The kneeling man pointed to several people who ordered the assassination of a prosecutor from Tabasco, such as Gomes from Villahermosa and Dientes de Lata from Cárdenas.

“We have located Tomás and Pescuezo, who are in Playa del Carmen,” says the man recording the video as one of the hooded men decapitates the person whom his companion pointed out.”

According to unconfirmed reports by the authorities, this interrogation and execution occurred in the municipality of Comalcalco. Along with the bodies, which were wrapped in black plastic, a cardboard sign with a narcomessage was placed next to them.

Carlos Tomás Díaz Rodríguez, also known as ‘Licenciado Tomasín’ or ‘El 12’, was mentioned in an interrogation and an execution, both allegedly carried out by hitmen from the CJNG, who revealed details about the connections between local officials from Tabasco and the criminal group known as La Barredora last February.

On the other hand, José Luis Olán, also known as ‘El Gopes,’ who has been identified as one of the leaders of “La Barredora,” has also been threatened by the “Four Letters” cartel.
