The General Prosecutor’s Office of Justice of the state (FGJE) of Sonora reported on March 11th that agents from the Ministerial Agency of Criminal Investigation (AMIC) captured David DeWayne Young, also known as Khaos or Rocky Point; however, new information revealed that the Chapitos, leaders of a faction of the Sinaloa Cartel, allegedly participated in this detention.
As reported by Infobae Mexico, Khaos was wanted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) after escaping from US authorities on January 11, 2023, following the execution of “Operation Ghost Arrest.”
Authorities had sought DeWayne Young since December 8, 2022, after a Federal Court issued a warrant for the Southern District of Georgia, USA. He was accused of conspiracy, distribution, sale, and possession of narcotics.
According to US authorities, the Ghostface Gangsters Gang is mainly dedicated to drug trafficking, murdering police officers, and committing other acts of violence on the streets and in the prisons of Georgia.
For this reason, twenty-five people, including three of the seven founders of Ghostface Gangsters Gang, also known for having a white supremacist ideology, pleaded guilty to multiple charges, such as attempted murder, mutilation, use of a firearm during a violent crime, among many others, in August 2022.

Official information reports that David “N” was captured by ministerial agents on Bolsón de Mapimí Street in the Solidaridad neighborhood in Hermosillo, Sonora.
This comes after agents from the National Institute of Migration (INM) and personnel from the AMIC conducted “field and office work to establish the alleged location of the fugitive in order to achieve their capture”.
Khaos, 43 years old, was deported by the Mexican National Migration Institute through the Dennis DeConcini Border Port, where he was handed over to US authorities, reports the State Attorney General’s Office of Sonora (FGJES).
Journalist Óscar Balmen stated that a source from the FBI informed him that in this arrest, the sons of Joaquín El Chapo Guzmán, better known as “Los Chapitos,” were involved.
Regarding El Chapo’s children, they learned that an American fugitive was hiding in one of their strongholds. They decided they would gain points with the FBI and hand him over as a gesture of goodwill,” Balmen stated on the Luis Cárdenas program of MVS Noticias.
The journalist pointed out that “giving up their leader would benefit them, as, after the surprising arrest and express extradition of Ovidio (Guzmán), they had started a healing operation to remove the label of top targets of Uncle Sam for trafficking fentanyl.”
Oscar Balmen detailed that not even Ivan Archivaldo and his brothers Jesus Alfredo Guzman Salazar and Joaquin Guzman Lopez looked favorably upon Young’s “anti-Mexican” speech: “they detested it.”
“So the sons of Chapo secretly collaborated to turn him in,” the communicator pointed out.
He assured that “at the beginning of last month, the elusive Khaos was caught based on an anonymous tip that people linked to Los Menores (also known as Los Chapitos) gave to the National Guard in Hermosillo on March 10,” explained the journalist who highlighted the way that El Chapo Guzmán’s sons “offered their unlikely help to the US authorities.”
On April 14th, a year ago, the US Department of Justice announced new charges in the federal courts of the Southern District of New York, Northern District of Illinois, and District of Columbia against several leaders of the Sinaloa Cartel, including Los Chapitos and their partners in China who traffic them with chemical precursors for the production of fentanyl.
