In the border city of Tijuana, Baja California, a ‘narcomensaje’ allegedly signed by a criminal group was found, in which the influencer Rodolfo Márquez, better known as “Fofo Márquez”, who is currently in preventive prison for assaulting a woman, is threatened.
Preliminary reports indicate that on the morning of this Monday, a white card was found next to a human head on the Rosas Magallón bypass, in the Infonavit-Panamericano neighborhood. The local authorities were notified.
When elements of the Municipal Police arrived at the scene, they found the narcomessage, the severed head and blood stains on the ground. In images shared on social networks, the content of the notice addressed to the 26-year-old influencer can be seen.
The reason why Fofo Márquez was threatened is for attacking a woman in the State of Mexico, which led to his arrest last week.
“If you touch a woman again, the same thing will happen to you and your family. In Tijuana, Mexico City, Guadalajara, or wherever you may be, you damn brat Fofo Márquez. Sincerely, ‘the ones from home’ “, reads the narcomessage written on the cardboard.
Until the publication of this note, the Secretariat of Public Safety and Citizen Protection of Tijuana has not issued a statement in this regard, so at the moment there are no individuals detained for these events. As for the group that signed the message, it is unknown if it is a criminal cell.
The influencer gained popularity among his more than 3 million followers thanks to the posts in which he used to show off the opulence he enjoyed due to the businesses of his late father, Rodolfo Márquez Sr.
Despite his fame on social media, Fofo Márquez found himself involved in a controversy after physically attacking a woman on February 22 at Plaza Brisas, located in the municipality of Naucalpan in the state of Mexico. The altercation occurred as a result of a traffic incident between them.
Therefore, last Thursday, April 4th, agents from the State of Mexico Prosecutor’s Office, in coordination with the state and municipal police of Naucalpan, managed to detain the young influencer.
One day later, Fofo Márquez was admitted to the Penitentiary and Social Reintegration Center of Tlalnepantla, also in the State of Mexico. The “millionaire boy”, as he referred to himself, had nine legal defenders who tried to get him released after the first hearing.
However, a judge ordered pretrial detention for the crime of attempted feminicide. Next Tuesday it will be determined whether he will be linked to the legal process or not.
