In a recording that circulated on social media, several armed men can be seen, who in preliminary reports are identified as Kaibiles allegedly linked to the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG), apparently in Tabasco, making threats against a couple of individuals, telling them that they will not escape again.
The recording shared during Monday, March 4 suggests that there was previously an armed attack against the threatened men, who were identified as Lupillo and Eusebio.
“This was the first warning for all High Impact and the Agency, so they can see how we have Eusebio located. You were lucky, but there will be no second chances, we are coming for you. Lupillo, we know you are hiding at your ranch in Tecolutilla, everyone is going to die,” was part of what the armed individuals expressed.
While in the material carried by the subjects there is no reference to the also called “cartel of the four letters” as it usually happens in the various previous videos, they do refer to themselves as Kaibiles. In front of the group of armed subjects there is a table with a pair of weapons and what appear to be explosive devices.
Almost at the end of the video, the subject speaking in front of the camera shows a cell phone with a photo of a man, apparently one of the people to whom the threats are directed. As for Tecolutilla, it is a city located in the municipality of Comalcalco, Chiapas.
It is not known if the threatened people are members of a rival group. Meanwhile, in 2022, local media reported the discovery of threatening messages in the mentioned city.
Other recordings have also been circulated in which kaibiles and alleged members of the criminal group led by Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, El Mencho, also appear. On January 28, it was reported about a video allegedly recorded in Tabasco where there were more threats.
To all of that dirt that thinks they’re tough, cartel or young recruits, you’ve seen that there’s no playing here. Once we come after you, there’s no trust. It’s important to remember that the Kaibiles are identified as elite soldiers of the Guatemalan Army.
On February 3rd, a recording surfaced in which alleged members of the CJNG distanced themselves from a criminal cell known as La Barredora and also stated that many of the members of said cell were former members of Los Zetas.
However, authorities have pointed out that in Tabasco, there are no operating organized crime groups. For example, on January 8th, the commander of the 30th Military Zone, Héctor Francisco Morán, denied the presence of drug cartels in the entity, as he believes they are small bands that use the name of larger groups.
“I have always understood that we do not have cartels here. They are really a group of vandals that are the same. Before they were called La Barredora, but then they called themselves the Northeast Cartel,” Francisco Morán stated.
