Alfredo Ríos Galeana, a recognized criminal from the community of Arenal de Álvarez, municipality of Benito Juárez, Guerrero, started out as a police officer and later became a military member, where he then turned to a life of crime as a kidnapper and bank robber. He spent multiple stints in prison and would often escape.
It was the Invaders of Nuevo León, who were inspired by their history to compose a corrido, in which they recall their criminal activities and their numerous escapes from prisons, of which there were about three.
“Southern prison, famous one, your fame has ended, you are no longer as dreadful as that morning, when the powerful Alfredo Ríos Galeana left,” begins the song by Los Invasores del Nuevo León.
This melody came out in the year 1987, so in it they relate that they will never be able to catch him, however, 18 years later, in 2005, he was arrested for the last time in Los Angeles, California, when he tried to carry out a procedure with a false name and they realized that it matched the profile of a former military deserter reported to the authorities.
The laws are looking for him, they demand him dead or alive, but they won’t capture him, his presence instills fear, they will steal all the banks, after all, they belong to the government,” the song continues.

In another fragment of the melody, it tells about some of the areas that he frequented to escape from the authorities, in addition to the way he prepared to commit a robbery. It is mentioned that prior to robbing a bank, he steals in the surrounding areas.
“In Cancun or in Acapulco, perhaps you are strolling around or preparing to rob a bank, carrying weapons to defend yourself, a large dagger in hand,” the melody recounts.
At the end of the song, he talks about the weapons he used to perpetrate an assault, while sending a greeting to the dangerous Mexican criminal.
“Squad forty-five, American machine gun, farewell also to the nationalized Banca Presidio, I dedicate this corrido to Alfredo Ríos Galeana,” concludes the melody of the Invasores de Nuevo León.
Between 1978 and 1986, it is estimated that the main character of the narcocorrido had committed 100 robberies, although it is not confirmed, it is only calculated by the authorities, who had been tracking him for some time.

On December 4, 2019, the dangerous bank robber ceased to exist after being found in the Altiplano prison and suffering from a blood infection, at the age of 69.
