The head of the Chihuahua Prosecutor’s Office, César Jáuregui Moreno, confirmed that the body of a man abandoned along with more than 300 kilograms of drugs matches the characteristics of a man identified as the alleged operator of the Sinaloa Cartel in Parral, known as “El 010.”
It is worth noting that in past months the “capture” of this subject was reported, although the man’s detention was investigated by the authorities as there was no information indicating that it had been an arrest carried out by them.
According to reports, the body of José Domingo Carrera Bermúdez, also known as El 010, had been deceased for several hours when it was found.

“The expertise done on the body confirms to us that this is indeed the subject,” were the words of the prosecutor. Local media outlets, such as El Diario de Juárez, identify him as a leader of the mentioned criminal group.
Jáuregui Moreno held a meeting with media before attending the Security Mesa of the entity. It is worth remembering that for months there have been reports pointing to a man, apparently linked to organized crime, being “abducted” by a rival group.
It was in August 2023 when reports circulated about a supposed capture of El 010. On that occasion, the first reports indicated that a vehicle similar to those used by the National Guard had participated in the actions.
“We are not sure if it is a capture, we are going to check that data, we are not clear if it was a capture,” said César Jáuregui a few months ago.
According to reports, El 010 was a financial operator for Antonio Leonel, commonly known as El 300, who was a lieutenant for the Pacific Cartel. El 300 was arrested in Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Chiapas and operated in the municipalities of Parral, Santa Bárbara, Balleza, Guadalupe y Calvo, Matamoros, Allende, Coronado, López, San Francisco del Oro, Huejotitán, El Tule and Valle de Lugo de Zaragoza.

But it was on January 27th that a body was found on a bridge in Chihuahua. In the area, illegal substances were found along with a threatening message accusing the head of the Secretariat of Public Security of allegedly being connected to criminal groups.
“Maybe you are not aware that the Secretariat you manage is responsible for supplying, escorting, and transporting these substances in the capital of Chihuahua and throughout the state. The members of this corporation are the ones in charge of handling the crystal and fentanyl stores (…) Perhaps your Secretariat is already part of a criminal organization and you are not aware of it, or maybe you are.”
Unofficial reports indicated that the body found along with the substances belonged to El 010, but this information was later confirmed by Jáuregui Moreno. In August of last year, El Heraldo de Chihuahua detailed that El 010 used technology such as drones and had at least 100 people under their command.
In light of the disappearance and subsequent finding of four members of the LeBarón community reported on January 22, the Attorney General’s Office of Chihuahua informed that a cell of the Sinaloa Cartel would be behind the abductions.
However, Ramiro Cervantes is a man who has not been located and it is presumed that members of the criminal group are also involved in these actions. Because of these events, the LeBarón family demanded the release of the man who owns a tire business in the municipality of Madera.
