In the outskirts of the Northern Prison, located in the Gustavo A. Madero borough of Mexico City, alleged members of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG) left a cooler with human remains and a threatening message directed at criminal groups in the capital.
According to the first reports, the container was located on Av. Tecnológico, at the height of Pinos street, and inside was the head of a man whose identity has not been confirmed.
Material shared by reporters Antonio Nieto and Carlos Jiménez allowed to corroborate that the cardboard placed next to the cooler was a direct threat from a man identified as ‘El Jaguar’, alleged leader of the CJNG, against groups like Los Maceros, La Unión Tepito and La Familia Michoacana.
The message indicated that the leaders of the CJNG had fully identified the alliance between ‘Chucho Macero’, leader of Los Maceros, and members of La Union Tepito such as ‘El Willy’, ‘El Pollo’, and ‘Alexis’. Apparently, their agreements had been orchestrated from the penitentiary where the discovery took place.

“Continue bothering the hardworking people of Mexico City, we are in support of local vendors and merchants, from the gum seller to the largest businesses. We are not extortionists, as you make it seem from your prisons, you damn dogs. We are coming to kick you out, you continue.”
Specifically, the leader of the CJNG, who would be responsible for this event, announced his hunt against the capital groups located in the southern and eastern areas of Mexico City.
“‘Chivo’, ‘Tomate’, Iván, ‘Tuna’, Brandon, ‘Karim’, and ‘Gary’ from La Unión Tepito and the Michoacan Family, who are in Iztacalco, Iztapalapa, and the southern zone, we are going to kick them ‘out of here’ (sic).”
For years, areas of the Reclusorio Norte such as the Diamond Module have served more as a privileged accommodation than as a space for confinement for influential leaders of La Unión Tepito, such as Alex Rodrigo Figueroa, alias ‘El Tyson’, and Brandon Pérez Flores, alias ‘El Boss’.
At the time of this edition, the capital authorities had not announced any arrests related to this finding, so the identity of the person or persons who may be responsible is unknown.
