The Strategic Operations Prosecutor’s Office reported that an operation carried out by the Model Unit for the Prevention of Kidnapping resulted in the rescue of fifteen people who had been kidnapped in the Hacienda de las Torres neighborhood, located in Ciudad Juárez.
The police action, which took place on the afternoon of Tuesday, January 24, also culminated in the arrest of three individuals allegedly responsible for the crime.
According to information provided by authorities, among those rescued are citizens from different states in Mexico, such as the State of Mexico, Aguascalientes, and Guanajuato.
Similarly, the release of individuals from Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador was reported, including three minors. The agents involved in the raid were able to apprehend Daniel R. R., Pablo C. C., and Axel Gerardo A. R.. Additionally, a firearm and two motor vehicles used by the suspects were seized in the operation.
The intervention of the researchers was concocted after a detailed intelligence work that allowed the location of the site where the victims were held.
The subjects arrested along with the seized objects have been placed at the disposal of the Public Ministry to initiate relevant investigations. This important achievement of the Strategic Operations Prosecutor’s Office underlines the continuous effort in the fight against the crime of kidnapping and the protection of both national and foreign citizens.
The efforts of the authorities to combat this type of crime remain a priority within the public security agenda.
