The state of Tamaulipas woke up this Wednesday with a gruesome discovery in the municipality of Reynosa, where a bag containing alleged human remains and a narco message attributed to a criminal organization with a presence in the region was found.
Preliminary reports indicate that a report was made to 911 about a cooler that was abandoned in the Colonial Industrial Park, located in the border city, which is believed to contain the remains of a murdered person. As a result, local authorities transferred to the mentioned location to verify the facts.
Through social media, images of the find were spread, in which a closed black bag can be seen next to a row of red color, on which a handwritten message was placed. The paper was signed by the Gulf Cartel and through it a message was sent to the extorters in the region.
“This will happen to everyone who is extorting on behalf of Alberto, you’re next Byron,” reads the first part of the notice.

The above caused a police mobilization at the entrance access number 4 of the maquiladora company Danfoss, where a cooler and a narcomessage were abandoned on the side. The area was cordoned off by state security elements while the initial investigations were carried out.
The Security Spokesperson of Tamaulipas confirmed these events through a brief publication on social media, in which it was indicated that the discovery was related to possible remains of human origin.
Authorities attend report of a possible finding of human remains in the interior of a row in the Parque Industrial neighborhood of Reynosa, it was indicated, without any knowledge at the moment about the approximate number of victims.
Despite the police deployment, there are no records of detained individuals. As the investigations progress, the tamaulipecan authorities will release further information about what happened.

This finding happened almost two weeks after a video was circulated on social media in which alleged members of the Gulf Cartel announced a cleanup in the state.
In the audiovisual clip, it can be seen that in front of the group of armed subjects there was a man who identified himself as José Guadalupe, a member of the Northeast Cartel (CDN). The interrogated individual pointed out that this criminal organization is supported by Ramiro Cortez Barrera, mayor with a leave of absence in the municipality of Miguel Alemán.
“Mayor Cortez Barrera, you are the main responsible for the CDN taking control of the town of Los Guerra and displacing so many families from the village,” accused the alleged members of the Gulf Cartel, a criminal organization based in the border state of Tamaulipas, where in addition to drug trafficking, they also engage in the trafficking of migrants seeking to cross the border into the United States.”
