A black suitcase containing the mutilated remains of a man was abandoned early Tuesday at a truckers’ rest stop along the Villa Unión–Concordia highway in Mazatlán, Sinaloa.
The discovery was made at approximately 1:00 a.m. near the Flor de Mayo neighborhood on the Mazatlán–Matamoros free highway. Transport workers said several armed men traveling in pickup trucks stopped at the location, unloaded the suitcase, and placed a piece of cardboard bearing a written message on top.
The message read: “Keep sending more trash like this, René, so we can fuck them up. Sincerely, 81.”
