More then likely hollow tips
Hollow tips don’t make that splatter pattern. In fact they are soft and embed into the flesh meat. This is almost certainly a “Full Metal Jacket” FMJ, which is preferred for tactical organ splattering.

That gun was some type of lmg (light machine gun). By the look of the barrel I would say like a FN MAG or a Rpd or even a saw. (Squad assault weapon) Like a custom barrel m249. Sounds much like it too.
