The two families of the foreign surfers who were found dead in a property located in Punta San José, in the delegation of Santo Tomás, in Ensenada, arrived Sunday, May 5th, at the offices of the Forensic Medical Service (SEMEFO) to identify the bodies.
Around 3:00 PM, units from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs began to arrive, along with agents guarding the families. At 6:00 PM, they left the building to go to the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) offices to complete the procedures.
Moments later, the FGE confirmed that the bodies found in the well in the area known as La Bocana, south of Ensenada, belong to Jake and Callum Robinson, 30 and 33 years old, of Australian origin, as well as American Carter Rhoad, 30 years old.
The confirmation is given once the victims’ family members can identify them without the need for genetic testing.
This morning, the Attorney General of the State, María Elena Andrade Ramírez, received the parents of the victims accompanied by diplomatic officials from their country of origin and reaffirmed the total institutional commitment to continue with the investigation of these regrettable events until those responsible receive the total weight of the law.
