I'm Ed Martin, the United States Pardon Attorney. I'd like to share some news about the Department of Justice's plan to help citizens of our nation who have lost their federal firearms rights. We've recently published a rule that delivers on our promise to strengthen and protect the Second Amendment. To put that rule into effect, my team in the Pardon Office is hard at work to ensure that we can create and utilize an application process that balances public safety with the protection of your Second Amendment rights.

Soon, we'll launch an online portal

to accept all incoming applications. For those of you who are seeking relief, I know you're anxious to get started. And while you're waiting, I'd ask you to visit our website and find out more about what you'll need. That website is www.justice.gov/ffrr. There you'll learn about what you need to gather together and what you'll need to submit. We'll continue to update our website with all resources, new old resources, and all the information you'll need to help assist you in getting relief.
