Culiacán, Sinaloa—Fernando Guerrero, who disappeared on December 24, 2024, was found brutally dismembered in a cooler in Culiacán’s Progreso neighborhood. His death, filmed and distributed online, was far more than an execution—it was a calculated message from Mayito Flaco’s faction, targeting rivals, informants, and even critics.

Guerrero was accused of collaborating with the Chapitos and sharing information about Mayito Flaco’s operations. During his final moments, captured on video, he was interrogated and made to confess his alleged betrayals. His captors then issued threats against social media influencer Camilo Ochoa, known for condemning the faction’s violent tactics.

Part 1
Sicario: What’s your name?
Fernando: Fernando Guerrero.
Sicario: Why is this happening to you?
Fernando: Because I’m a compadre of Mariano and shared information with the Chapitos. My father is also guilty of killing innocents for financial gain.
Sicario: On behalf of Mayito Flaco, greetings to Camilo Ochoa. You weren’t our priority, but now you are. Let’s finish this.
Part 2
Sicario: Let this be a warning to every traitor out there.
The Message
This was more than a punishment for betrayal. By turning Guerrero’s death into a spectacle, Mayito Flaco’s faction sought to solidify its reputation for ruthless control. The targeting of Ochoa adds another layer, as it signals that even critics in the digital space are not beyond their reach.
A Warning Etched in Violence
Fernando Guerrero’s death is a grim reminder of the evolving strategies of cartel groups. The use of social media to amplify fear reflects a new form of psychological warfare, where acts of violence are designed to resonate far beyond their immediate victims.
Camilo Ochoa’s Role
Camilo Ochoa, a vocal critic of cartel violence, has become an unexpected player in this unfolding drama. Known for his unapologetic commentary on social media, he recently drew the ire of Mayito Flaco’s faction for condemning their indiscriminate killings of innocents. In their interrogation of Fernando Guerrero, the sicarios made it clear that Camilo was now in their crosshairs, turning a simple influencer into a marked man.
I recently met Camilo over Zoom to discuss his insights on Mini Lic for an upcoming story. His candor and knowledge of cartel dynamics were invaluable, but it’s clear that his courage to speak out has put him in extraordinary danger. His inclusion in this narrative underscores the evolving reach of cartel threats, which now extend far beyond traditional enemies to those challenging them in the digital arena. I’ve been informed that Ochoa is heading to Spain, and I believe it’s the best move for him given the current circumstances.
Mica’s Analysis
Fernando Guerrero’s death was more than an execution; it was an overkill steeped in theatrics, designed to assert dominance through sheer brutality. The transcript reveals the purpose behind the dismemberment and display—it wasn’t just about silencing Guerrero, but making an example of him. By forcing him to implicate others, including his father, and delivering a pointed message to Camilo Ochoa, the killers wove a narrative of betrayal and vengeance.
The chainsaw, the cooler, and the publicized interrogation were weapons of psychological warfare, intended to strike fear into informants, rivals, and critics. This level of overkill isn’t random—it’s a calculated move by Mayito Flaco’s faction to burn their authority into the minds of everyone watching, a grotesque escalation in their war for control.
In the world of Mayito Flaco’s cartel, silence isn’t just survival—it’s submission. Fernando Guerrero’s dismembered body was a message to rivals, informants, and even influencers like Camilo Ochoa: speak out, step out of line, and you’ll become the next chapter in their grotesque theater of violence. This wasn’t just a killing; it was a proclamation. Fear isn’t a byproduct of their brutality—it’s the product.

Ochoa favors chapos all day. He is biased
Camilo Ochoa doesn’t hide his bias—he openly sides with the Chapitos.
oglum sız nıye bırbırınızı kesıyorsun lan
Harbi lan. Manyak bunlar manyak. Yok kartel çatışmaları yok uyuşturucu kaçakçılığı yok rakip kartel falan.
H4ck3 comment: Seriously, man. These guys are crazy—just plain crazy. All this talk about cartel shootouts, drug trafficking, rival cartels and whatnot.
Eso no es trabajo retirense de eso
bu gidisle bizim ulkede boyle olacak aq. baskalarida bize yazar bunlar manyak diye
How Camilo didn’t talk about the drone that the pizza was throwing from an airplane endangering innocent people? Or the over 50+ people they kidnapped in Culiacan that were just family of the people that robbed Archie and had nothing to do with it. Both cartels are wrong and both do crazy stuff but I feel like you are biased against the mayos unlike chaparro that talks about both sides. People in culiacan been fed up with chapitos since the dad Got arrested because they start harassing business owners and taxing them think I’m lying ask any business owner. Is a sad reality of what our people are living due to the ambitions and money hungry they are.
I’ve already made it clear that Camilo Ochoa openly favors the Chapitos, and I’ve addressed that both sides—Chapitos and Mayiza—claim I’m biased. For the record, I believe you and don’t think you’re lying. I’ve covered the “Chapitos Airforce” multiple times, yet the bias talk never stops.

Maybe it’s time I focus on CJNG instead. Unlike Chaparro, I fund all of this myself, and honestly, the constant bias accusations are exhausting. Thanks for your comment—it’s helped convince me to leave Sinaloa alone and stick with CJNG for now.
Don’t let the criticism get to you Mica.
These are the same cheerleading nuthuggers that have their preferred cartel and fancy themselves as on their favorite cartel “team.”
Please keep writing as you see fit and don’t let their stupid talk change you.
Mica, just for the record, I do not think you’re biased. I have seen you cover both sides. There will always be critics. You shouldn’t let them discourage you from doing your thing. As long as you know in your heart that you’re doing your best to report, stay fair and stick to the facts, then that’s all that should matter. You come out with alot of good atticles that some of us wouldn’t have know about that if you didn’t report on it. Just like you might have your critics, you for sure have those that appreciate your work and time you put in to keep us informed, me being one of them. And I thank you for it. Don’t let us down or get discouraged because of some critics or false accusations. With all due respect, you need to grow some thicker skin in this field. The more people follow you and read you, the more likely you will be getting more criticism. It comes with the territory. If you make a mistake, if it’s an honest mistake, just learn from it and, if called for, apologize and move on. It happens to all of us so don’t dwell on it. Aside from that, keep up the good work and keep it coming. Critics are a dime a dozen.
This Camilo guy lies and/or misinforms. He says things that happen and leaves things out that will make you think a certain way and he’s made things up. He says he used to be in that life before, even was head of a certain plaza before, according to him, but to me it doesn’t seem like it. Things he’s described and/or said that either seemed weird or I knew were not like that. And how does a head of plaza go frome running a plaza to having a youtube channel? I’ve checked out both his channel and Ocran Leaks (Mini Lic I guess) and have found Ocran Leaks more credible and by alot, although it might not be 100% on point or truthful, you find less of that on there than you do with Camilo’s. He lost credibility with me so much that when he said that the main individual in Ocran Leaks was Mini Lic, I didn’t believe him even though I have wondered or even thought that at times before he mentioned it. But when Camilo mentioned it, the times I would start wondering again or thinking that Ocran was indeed Mini Lic, I was like “that’s not MiniLic, Camilo said it was him so it can’t be him.” That where Camilo has goid his credibility with me himself.

All of these cartel guys paint themselves in the best light possible and paint their rivals in the worst light possible. What they don’t realize is their time here on earth is short, some shorter than others. However, in the long run, they will stand before God, and when he opens the book of life, I don’t believe their names will be there, though I really don’t know, but God will judge them for these horrific acts and probably throw them into the lake of fire for eternity, which is not as bad as getting mutilated by a chainsaw or a sword or a knife or a 50 caliber Machine gun it’s Exponentially worse. May God administer the punishment they so justly Deserve.
