A man identified as Martín Alonso Bustos Rodríguez, better known as “El Tín”, was executed this afternoon in a direct attack while he was driving on Manuel Gómez Morín Avenue, near Camperos Street.
According to reports, gunmen intercepted the vehicle in which “El Tín” was traveling with his two children – an 18-year-old girl and a 13-year-old boy – and opened fire on multiple occasions. The criminal leader was killed instantly, while his companions were injured and taken to a hospital.
The victim was known as the leader of the “Los Aztecas” group and had been the target of previous attacks. In October 2022, he survived an attack that killed former prosecutor Sully Ponce Prieto.
After his release from the state prison that same year, Bustos Rodriguez had tried to keep a low profile, however, today he was hit by a new deadly attack.
The area was guarded by elements of various corporations, while investigating agents gathered evidence to clarify the facts.
