The operation carried out on April 21st, where members of the National Guard (GN) and the Mexican Army detained Abraham Oseguera Cervantes, alias Don Rodo, was directed towards the arrest of his brother Nemesio, the leader of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG), whom the Armed Forces had been following for weeks, according to journalist, Jesús Lemus Barajas.
Lemus Barajas stated that Don Rodo is the second most powerful man in the CJNG, and his arrest was not incidental, as reported by the National Guard in their report on the early morning of Sunday, April 21st. I’m afraid I have to disagree that Don Rodo is the highest CJNG member behind El Mencho.
“The units of the National Guard observed three people outside the cited address, carrying firearms and in a belligerent attitude, who threatened them and entered said residence, closing the door,” details the report from the Attorney General’s Office (FGR).
For this reason, the Public Ministry of the Federation (MPF), directed by Alejandro Gertz Manero, ensured that “the members of that corporation were forced to follow up on said individuals within the property, in due compliance with their legal obligation to pursue a flagrant crime.” The home is in a luxury gated neighborhood and is only accessible through a guard stand. It’s impossible to see men outside of any home unless inside the fenced grounds passed the guarded entrance.
Abraham Oseguera was captured in the Hacienda Real subdivision in Autlán de Navarro, Jalisco. He was then transferred to the Specialized Office in Organized Crime of Mexico City and made available to the Public Ministry.
“It wasn’t accidental. For 20 days, they had been following his trail before his arrest. They were following Don Rodo’s trail because they thought, again, that they were after Nemesio and they were tracking him,” said the author of the book “El Licenciado,” who stated that the Mexican Armed Forces were supported in this operation by agents from the US Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).
Lemus Barajas explained that releasing this criminal leader and money launderer for the CJNG through Los Cuinis, which took place during the early hours of April 30th, was a mistake by the FGR because they did not have any investigation files. There was no arrest warrant against him.
He added that the arguments put forward by the FGR regarding the defense of Don Rodo presenting “fragmented” videos without technical documentation, which experts from the autonomous organization could not review due to being presented “just two hours before the resumption of the hearing,” are lies.
Don Rodo maintained a low profile because he did not want to be arrested again after being captured in 1989 with his brother Nemesio Oseguera in San Francisco, US, where he was accused of heroin trafficking and sentenced to 10 years in prison.
Inside the property, they did indeed find Abraham “O” carrying a long gun assault rifle of 5.56 x 45 caliber and a 9mm pistol, as well as a wallet-bag with 38 grams of cocaine, two thousand and eleven fentanyl pills, and 255 fluoprofentanyl pills, which is why he was detained and taken to Mexico City, where he was placed in the custody of the Federal Public Ministry.

I think lemus is wrong on this, if they were there for el mencho, we would have seen a spike in violence never seen before. But it was all quite.
Also they wont try to arrest him with only a few cars and people, they need an army and air support otherwise his escoltas will kill all the soldiers and police.
