Money Laundering Washing Machine From CJNG Is Handed Over In Extradition To The USA

The Attorney General’s Office of the Republic (FGR) reported that they extradited to the United States Government (USA) Beatriz “S”, a member of a drug trafficking organization located in Guadalajara, which is the operations center of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG).

In a statement, the Prosecutor’s Office specified that Beatriz “S” ‘s function was to launder the profits from drug sales, making it seem as though the money was from exporting goods to Mexico. As a result, she was arrested in October 2023 in the city of Guadalajara, Jalisco.

Since his arrest and in compliance with the bilateral agreements, the FGR granted the extradition requested by the US, therefore his delivery was made to agents of said country at the facilities of the Mexico City International Airport (AICM).

This week, there was another heavy blow to the criminal structure of the CJNG when they announced a massive indictment against 41 members of the criminal group led by Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, also known as “El Mencho”.

The investigations conducted by the American authorities report that the 41 defendants were found to be involved in operations related to drug distribution on behalf of the CJNG in the cities of Houston and Galveston, Texas.

The accusation specifies that the crimes they are being accused of occurred between December 2018 and April 2020 under the leadership of a 52-year-old Mexican man identified as Roque Zamudio Mendoza.

Despite their operations being centered in Texas, their presence was also detected in other regions such as New Orleans, Florida, Atlanta, Nashville, Tennessee, and Chicago. So far, according to information from the US Department of Justice, 23 people from this criminal cell of the CJNG have been arrested for trafficking cocaine, fentanyl, heroin, and methamphetamine. The sentences they could face are life imprisonment.
