Among the offspring of Ismael “El Mayo” Zambada who operated for the Sinaloa Cartel, Ismael Zambada Sicairos, alias “El Mayito Flaco”, is the one who maintained the lowest profile, as until 2022 his image had remained in the shadows.
In February of that year, the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) included ‘El Mayito Flaco’ on their list of fugitives and released a photograph that revealed how the then 40-year-old drug trafficker looked.
According to US authorities, the son of ‘El Mayo’ and María del Refugio Sicairos has eccentric tastes for sports cars and aircraft, as evidenced by an accusation presented by the Southern District of California in 2015.
At that time, the DEA had identified ‘El Mayo’ Zambada and two of his sons (‘El Mayito Flaco’ and Ismael Zambada Imperial, aka ‘Mayito Gordo’) as the main drug traffickers of the Sinaloa Cartel, just like Iván Archivaldo Guzmán, son of Joaquín ‘El Chapo’ Guzmán.

In the accusation, identified with series 14CR0658-DMS, it is indicated that the DEA managed to confiscate at least four vehicles belonging to ‘El Mayito Flaco’. One of them was a Mercedes SLR McLaren, with chassis number #WDDAJ76F66M000890i.
Another one of the insured units was a 2014 Nissan GT-R, whose sale price in 2015 was 150 thousand euros, equivalent to more than two and a half million Mexican pesos.
Two Lamborghinis were also seized: one was a 2010 “murciélago” with chassis number #ZHWBU8AHXALA03904, and the other was identified with series #ZHWBU37S58LA02742.
In addition to the vehicles, the DEA also confiscated a 1982 Cessna Turbo 210 aircraft, with serial number #21064675, which also belonged to the son of ‘El Mayo’ Zambada.

According to the DEA, ‘El Mayito Flaco’ was involved in the drug trafficking from Asia to Mexico. Once in Aztec lands, Zambada Sicairos was in charge of transporting the narcotics to the border with the United States, where they were subsequently distributed.
To transport drugs from one point to another, ‘El Mayito Flaco’ used cargo planes, private aircraft, submersible vessels such as submarines, speedboats, boats, train cars, buses, tractors, and trucks.
As a result of this, the son of ‘El Mayo’ is facing charges for participating in a continuous criminal enterprise (in this case the Sinaloa Cartel) and conspiracy to distribute cocaine, methamphetamine, and marijuana in the US.
Despite this, the Joe Biden government has not announced a reward that would lead to his capture, as is the case with ‘El Mayo’ Zambada, for whom up to USD 15 million dollars is offered.
