The Attorney General’s Office of the State of Sonora (FGES) has announced new actions against one of its top targets, Isaías Valentín Orona Amador, also known as “El Cardenal” or “El Comanche”, who is one of the main perpetrators of violence in the region.
Through a publication on all its social media platforms, the Sonoran Prosecutor’s Office announced that the agency is offering up to one million Mexican pesos for “truthful, useful, and effective” information that leads to the capture of Orona Amador.
According to the information, “El Comanche” is wanted for his probable responsibility for the crimes of homicide, disappearance committed by individuals, and others.
In the post, the authorities have shared two images of the criminal, who can be seen with short hair, beard, and mustache.
Therefore, they have made available the telephone (662) 289 8800, extension 15340 and 15343, or informants can also send an email to the address sebusca@fiscalia.sonora.gob.mx.

According to the little information that has been revealed so far, Isaías Valentín Orona Amador is a criminal linked to Los Cazadores, a cell that worked with the “Los Chapitos” from the Sinaloa Cartel before November 2023, when they began operating independently.
His name came to light a few days ago during a confrontation in Hermosillo, Sonora, when Carlos Humberto “N” was arrested, son of Jesus Humberto Limón López, also known as “El Chubeto” or “El Cazador”, former leader of this group who was arrested in June 2021.
And it was in this confrontation – which left 12 people dead – that the events took place on January 21, 2024, when a shooting was reported on Highway 100 from Hermosillo to Bahía de Kino.

At that time, the prosecution stated that Carlos Humberto “N” was arrested on Camino del Seri Street in the Las Minitas neighborhood by municipal police officers. At the time of his capture, he identified himself as Isaías Valentín “N”, also known as “El Cardenal” or “El Comanche”, but later the officers confirmed his true identity after an inspection, revealing that he was actually Carlos Humberto “N”.
Upon realizing that this individual had been arrested, a group of hitmen attempted to free him and fired against the ministerial agents, prompting the support of agents from all three levels of government.
It was at that moment when the exchange of bullets began and, as a result, there were 12 alleged hitmen neutralized, while seven more managed to escape, some with injuries.

This group was found with an arsenal that included 21 assault rifles of different calibers, among them models such as Barrett, Scar, AR-15, and AK-47. They also found a short weapon, rifle and box chargers, tactical vests, helmets, and camouflage clothing. They also confiscated six high-end, recent model trucks from them.
Although the connection between Carlos Humberto “N” and “El Comanche” is still unknown, it is believed that they could both belong to the same criminal group.
