Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers at the Eagle Pass, Texas, international bridge, connecting to Piedras Negras, Coahuila, recently made a substantial drug seizure, intercepting nearly $1 million worth of narcotics. Port Director Pete Beattie detailed that the haul included 18.47 kilograms of fentanyl and 1.1 kilograms of heroin. The illicit substances were ingeniously hidden within the doors of a vehicle attempting to cross from Mexico into the United States, evading initial detection.

Officials announced the confiscation a week after the actual event to ensure thorough verification, revealing that 54 packages of the deadly drugs were recovered.
