A narco-banner signed by the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG) was placed on a pedestrian bridge in the municipality of Zitácuaro, with a threat against Conrado Corral Leyva, a questionable police commander of the Michoacán Public Security Secretariat who has been linked on multiple occasions to organized crime.
In the banner that appeared during the early hours of the day, the “Special Forces of Mr. Mencho” threaten the police commander and warn that “We are going all out against the Civil Guard.” “You want war, you will have war,” reads the banner, which was quickly removed from the site.
At the same time, a video was released of the execution of six men, who claim to work for Conrado Corral, stealing and selling methamphetamine for him.
The bodies were later found on the Francisco J. Múgica Highway in Zitácuaro.
The Michoacán State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) is carrying out an investigation to clarify the facts that occurred last night in two different locations in this city, when the bodies of six men were found mutilated.
The fact that he has not been able to climb the ranks within the structure of the SSP Michoacan, to the point of being named for a few months as the coordinator of regions.
It is presumed that Conrado Corral is protected by some high-ranking official in Michoacán, he has remained in the SSP Michoacán following a conversation he had with William Edwin Rivera Padilla, alias “El Barbas”, identified as the plaza boss of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG) in eastern Michoacán, that was broadcast nationally.
In this call, El Barbas complained to the then regional commissioner of the Public Security Secretariat in Zitacuaro, Conrado Corral Leyva, about not providing him with protection despite being “friends” and receiving payments from organized crime.
In February 2024, a hitman’s mistake ruined a CJNG plan to grenade Conrado Corral’s life.
After this failed attempt, Conrado Corral was named coordinator of regions in the SSP Michoacan and a couple of months later he was replaced, he returned to the Zitacuaro region discreetly, occupying a position of authority.

Sicario: What do you guys do for a living?
Captives in unison say: We steal.
Sicario: Who do you steal for?
Captives in unison say: We steal for Güero Conrado.
Sicario: What exactly does he send you out to steal.
Captive: Whatever we find out in the streets.
Sicario: What type of protection does he give you guys?
Captives: Protection is given whenever we pass through the community of Barandillas. He has an enemy there.
Sicario: How long ago did you guys start to steal again?
Captives: It was 2 days ago that Güero Conrado returned to this area. And he hasn’t left us in peace to do our bidding here. He saw us in our acts of thievery once again.
Sicario: Who provides you with the crystal meth that we found on you?
Captive: It was given to us by Güero Conrado. We in turn have to give him 50 percent of our earnings from it.
