In an operation carried out in San Luis Potosi, elements of the National Guard seized a shipment of more than 38 kilograms of drugs hidden in three cardboard boxes, which were in the process of being sent by parcel service to the states of Michoacán, Tamaulipas, and Zacatecas.
The operation took place inside the facilities of a courier company at the Ponciano Arriaga International Airport, where actions are carried out to search for illegal devices and substances with the support of a canine team.
It was precisely when the officers brought the dog closer to one of the boxes that they detected an unusual attitude, so they proceeded to examine the boxes with X-rays, finding 20 packages inside the first one weighing 13.5 kilograms of an organic substance with the characteristics of marijuana, which they intended to send to the city of Ciudad Victoria, Tamaulipas.
In the second box, they discovered three packages addressed to La Piedad, Michoacán, with a total weight of over 19 kilograms; in the last box destined for Zacatecas, Zacatecas, they found 10 packages weighing over 5 and a half kilograms. The authorities did not report the exact weight of the cargo, the business name of the company, or if there were any arrests.

In the middle of last year, Cuitláhuac García, governor of Veracruz, pointed out Estafeta company for their low security measures after 30 kilograms of marijuana, vaping devices and various doses of LSD were found already packaged to be sent to municipalities in the northern part of the state.
