Security personnel carried out the seizure of over half a ton of possible cocaine in Chiapas, therefore the authorities have initiated an investigation against whoever may be responsible for the shipment found after an anonymous report.
It should be noted that the potential drug was found in a dry box, which after being inspected by security personnel, was found to be filled with frozen fish. However, there were also several plastic bags containing narcotics.
“At the location, they found the reported trailer attached to a dry box and upon inspection, the tractor-trailer was loaded with frozen fish and various plastic bags were located containing packages with approximately 570 kilos of white powder with characteristics consistent with cocaine,” reported the General Prosecutor’s Office (FGR) on Monday, January 29th.

After these actions, in which members of the National Guard participated, no arrested persons were reported, neither from the Federal Ministerial Police nor from the Criminal Investigation Agency (AIC).
The facts were reported by the FGR, an institution that detailed that they received a report that there was drugs inside a truck. The anonymous complaint indicated that in a truck yard there was a unit with the material.
The vehicle was on the Coastal Highway Kilometer 287, Campestre colony, in Tapachula. As a result of these actions, both the material found and the site were secured and handed over to the authorities for further investigation.

In the images shared by the authorities, it is possible to see that the secured trailer is one of a blue color with a white box, and the substance was in various packages wrapped in a transparent material. There is also a photograph that shows the various fish found by the officers.
The inhabitants of Chiapas have documented a conflict between the criminal groups with the greatest presence in the country: the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG) and the Sinaloa Cartel.
On January 23rd, residents of Chicomuselo reported the presence of the mentioned cartels.

“The Jalisco New Generation Cartel used the strategy of waging war against the Sinaloa Cartel, using people and communities by force. The CJNG requires a justification, called a social base, to give their war a different face,” can be read in the document signed by the Civil Society of Chicomuselo.
Similarly, in Tapachula, where the alleged cocaine was found along with the fish, a man nicknamed El Memo, alleged criminal leader linked to the four-letter cartel, was captured.
Moreover, on January 22nd, a recording circulated in which an armed command threatened a subject nicknamed “El Güero Pulseras”, alleged leader of the Sinaloa Cartel in Chiapas, allegedly linked to Ismael “El Mayo” Zambada.
