Four detained in Colima teacher killing

Infobae México reports that authorities in Colima have arrested four people in connection with the killing of teacher Noemí Isabel Ríos Torres, who was shot on September 2 in Manzanillo, Colima. According to the Colima authorities cited by Infobae México, Karla “N” is being treated as an alleged intellectual participant, while Marco “N” and Paola “N” are described as alleged material participants; Leonardo “N” is identified as a possible intermediary. Officials said the suspects allegedly included people linked to the Sinaloa Cartel, but those affiliations and roles remain allegations in the investigation. The report says the suspected attackers intercepted Ríos Torres’s vehicle on Avenida de las Rosas while she was traveling with her children, fired at her, and fled.

Infobae México reports that investigators reviewed public and private video, including footage used to reconstruct a preliminary escape route. State officials said a motorcycle, a Volkswagen Saveiro pickup, and firearms were seized during the operations and could be connected to the attack, pending biological and ballistic analysis.
