Reporting and context
The Mayos de Navojoa have unveiled new uniforms and a new mascot ahead of the 2026-27 season of the Mexican Pacific ARCO League. According to Proyecto Puente, the team presented the new designs and characters on Thursday, October 8, at 7 p.m. at Plaza de Hierro as part of its preparations for the winter baseball campaign.
The collection uses red, blue and black to emphasize the regional identity and cultural roots of the Mayo Valley. The uniforms are also being sold at the newly opened Mayos Store location in Plaza Goya. Proyecto Puente reported that the organization will replace Pollo Layo, a longtime character associated with the team, with Rogelio as its new official mascot and will add other characters to enliven the stands.
The changes come as the club prepares to return to Manuel “Ciclón” Echeverría Stadium, where it will compete for the ARCO League championship. The team said the visual overhaul is intended to mark a new stage in its relationship with fans in southern Sonora.
