Mexican outlets report that Luis Fernando Rodríguez Ramírez, an agent with Tamaulipas’ Ministerial Investigative Police, was found decapitated along the Victoria–Soto la Marina highway corridor after being reported missing since January 10.

The body was reportedly discovered under a bridge near km 10 on the Prolongación Juan Capitán (“El Chihue”) stretch. A sign was left at the scene reading:
“Sigan buscando y van a encontrar, Ciudad Victoria tiene dueño.”
”Keep looking and you’ll find. Keep playing narco. Ciudad Victoria: I’ll put you to sleep.”

At the time of reporting, authorities were still working forensic procedures and had not issued a detailed public statement on motive or suspects.
