In related news from Oaxaca, security forces dismantled a criminal cell linked to the Jalisco New Generation Cartel that was operating in the area bordering Veracruz.
The operation took place in the municipalities of Cosalapa, Oaxaca, and also Sonapa, Veracruz, where the group’s leader, identified as “El Tigre,” was arrested along with other members.
Weapons, drugs, vehicles, uniforms, and tactical equipment used for illicit activities were seized at the site.
According to authorities, this cell is believed to be involved in extortion, kidnappings, and roadblocks in various municipalities across the region. Investigations are ongoing to determine responsibility.
