Enrique Alejandro Vasquez Hernandez, owner of the Piscis launderette located in the Sánchez Taboada neighborhood in Tijuana, was shot and killed on the afternoon of Wednesday, January 24th.
According to information provided by the investigative authority, the events occurred around 4:00 p.m. when reports were received at the emergency center of shots fired inside a business dedicated to laundry and drying of clothes located on Virgo street.
Police officers and paramedics from the Red Cross arrived at the scene, where they checked on the 55-year-old victim, originally from the State of Mexico, who was found behind the counter. They pronounced her dead. Witnesses stated that the perpetrators had entered the store, killed a man around 50 years old, and fled in a white Caravan van, which was abandoned a few meters away on Roberto de la Madrid street, in the same Sánchez Taboada district. There are no reported arrests.
Tijuana recorded 113 intentional homicides in 2024.
