A joint operation conducted by the Secretariat of the Navy and authorities in Tamaulipas successfully seized strategic infrastructure belonging to the Gulf Cartel.
The Secretariat of the Navy, in coordination with authorities in Tamaulipas, seized a property and equipment used by the Gulf Cartel for the illegal extraction of fuel.
Federal and local agents executed a search warrant at a property located in the vicinity of Ejido Progreso Agrario, along the Valle Hermoso–“Los Indios” International Bridge highway.
According to operational sources, the seized property is reportedly linked to illicit fuel market activities and was utilized by the Gulf Cartel–Scorpions criminal group for the stockpiling and handling of illegally sourced hydrocarbons.

During the operation, various pieces of equipment and logistical infrastructure were seized, including: a property, two tanker trucks, 13 frac tanks, eight transfer pumps, five storage tanks, and a dry-van trailer. All seized items were placed at the disposal of the appropriate ministerial authority.
Sources close to the operation estimate that this seizure represents an approximate financial blow of 8.3 million pesos to the criminal group’s financial structure, thereby directly impacting its operational capacity in the region.
The deployment was carried out without any reported clashes and forms part of targeted efforts to dismantle fuel-theft networks along the Tamaulipas border strip.
