Teenagers Used in Drug Dealing in Tulum Are Rescued

In Quintana Roo, federal and state authorities rescued three victims of human trafficking—including two teenagers—during an operation carried out in the municipality of Tulum. 

During the operation, a man identified as the probable perpetrator was also detained. The deployment involved searches of several properties, as well as the seizure of illicit substances, ammunition, and various other items. 

According to the investigation, the detainee is linked to drug dealing activities and the recruitment—and, I correct myself, the control—of the victims. Authorities reported that the rescued individuals were forced to engage in illicit activities under threat.
